DC Universe launched as a mega product that housed every type of DC content including comics, videos, encyclopedia, community, and more. Our team did a stellar job with the video streaming aspect and helped create fan service for all of our DC fans across multiple streaming platforms.

The Ultimate DC Video Streaming Service

DC Universe had everything a DC fan could want for a video streaming service — from original TV series, to new animated series and timeless classic movies that fans of all ages can enjoy. We offered all of that, with the catalog updated regulary, and on multiple streaming platforms, even gaming consoles! See below for some of my favorite features about our streaming service.

DCU Exclusives

To drive DC Universe traffic, we offered DC Universe exclusives such as Titans and Doom Patrol to be streamed on our website, apps and OTT platforms first. I helped create unique series pages for these big hits.

TV Series & Movies

We had a large library (that was growing regulary) of video content that fans old and new could enjoy. Everything from newly produced animated series like Teen Titans, to old classic movies like Superman (with Christopher Reeves). I helped design the content layout throughout the web and app experiences.

Collection Pages

To bring a unique aspect to DC Universe, we designed special collection pages, which would house the content surrounding that specific marketing push or initiative. This would drive fan excitement within the community and to constantly surface content within our big library.

In-house Built Video Player

I designed and partnered with our talented team of developers to build a in-house video player just for DC Universe. In doing so, it allowed us to have all of the control we'd want, and we were able to control not only th UI, but to create before & end of video experiences with our users in mind.

The broader team spent a lot of design and dev resources on expanding DC Universe and it's video streaming service. Not only were our users able to watch their favorite TV series and movies on the DC Universe website, but they were also able to watch it on the iOS & Android apps and OTT platforms such as tvOS, AndroidTV, and even gaming consoles like PS4 and Xbox 360. If you owned a streaming device at home, you were most likely able to watch your favorite DC content on the app!

With this much experience under our belt, we're confident in our capability to be able to leverage that knowledge and expertise to craft more exciting video streaming services across all Warner Bros. properties.
